סבבה

After our staff night out, I didn't think that staff orientation could get any better, but yesterday was such an amazing day. We had technical workshop simulations, found out the age group we'll be working with for the 1st session of camp.

First of all, my technical workshop simulation went SO WELL! I did a quick simulation for Lego robotics and everyone loved it. I got all positive feedback and a lot of people told me that they wish they could be in my workshop. One of the head staff also told me that I am a very likeable person and that people are drawn to me when I speak. I laughed pretty hard because that's not something that people ever tell me, but it was also really nice and reassuring to hear and I hope the campers feel the same way. Overall, my technical simulation was amazeballs and I can't wait to start my first workshop on Monday.

I also finally found out what age group I'll be working with and it turns out I'll be working with the Gigabytes, which are ages 14-17. I also found out my co-counselor for this session. He's a pretty cool guy, we've had some pretty good conversations, and I think we will work well together because we are both pretty chill. I also really like our unit head, she's  very intelligent, self-aware, and straight forward, which I really admire.

The gigabyte counselors have really been getting to know each other and talking on a very deep level which has been amazing. It's been great to share experiences and hear stories from other people who come from different backgrounds.
