Workshops, Workshops, Workshops

My workshops during the 1st session were a total disaster that slowly got better. I constantly had kids crying, not wanting to work on teams, and nothing was very organized until the end because it was my first time leading a workshop. 2nd session went a little better, but the kids were still pretty hard to work with and had a lot of problems. So in the first 2 sessions, workshops were not the part Of the day that I looked forward to.

Because of all the problems in the first two sessions, I was a but nervous to start my workshops again and go through all of the tough stuff, especially since I am leading 4 periods of workshops instead the 3 periods that I did in the last two sessions. However, on the first day of the 3rd session workshops, I was pleasantly surprised. All of my kids are really smart and well behaved, even the nanos, which are the youngest kids at camp. Most of my kids work really well together and most of the time the only thing I do is get them the pieces that they need and make sure they aren't fighting. I also have some amazing CITs that work with the little kids and are doing really well with the leadership roles that I've given them. In general, I'm super happy with how my workshops turned out this session.

At this point in camp, the fact that my workshops are good is the only thing that's getting me through this last week at camp. They are the best and easiest part of the day.
