Is it really happening?

I've been packing, unpacking, packing again, and then unpacking again. Lately, I've felt like all I do is pack and unpack. With that being said, packing for Israel wasn't a huge deal because I've already packed my bags at least 6 times this summer. Usually I get excited for my trips through packing, but this time, packing my bags had absolutely no effect on me whatsoever.

Everyone had been asking me if I was excited and I just kept telling them that it hadn't hit me yet that I was actually leaving. In fact, even when my Ima (mom) dropped me off at the airport this morning, it still didn't feel like I was leaving. Of course, as soon as the plane took off for Philly it finally hit me.

All was remedied though when I arrived in Philly to some amazing east coast pizza and a 4 hour layover. I've done more work in the few hours I've been sitting on a charging table in the airport than in the past few days at home.

I look forward to arriving in Tel Aviv tomorrow for a few relaxing days. I've got plans to go to the shuk, drink wine and eat falafel, then to the beach on Sunday with a fellow counselor before we take the bus to Meir Shfeya for staff orientation.
